Rebecca Mutinda

Chairperson

Rebecca Mutinda is an educator, school principal, humanitarian, and founder of Mama Dorcas Children Centre, dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and empowering marginalized communities. Raised in Kitui County, she overcame significant challenges, including harmful cultural practices and long journeys to school, inspiring her lifelong commitment to education and social justice. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Education and is currently pursuing a PhD in Leadership and Administration at Africa International University. Through her leadership, the organization provides shelter, education, child protection, clean water, environmental conservation, women’s empowerment, and community outreach programs. Her vision is to ensure every child has access to quality education, safety, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

Dr. Marietta A. Reformado (hc)

Patron/Vice Chairperson

Dr. Marietta A. Reformado (hc) is a Filipino–Malaysian entrepreneur, humanitarian, diplomatic peace advocate, and international development leader with extensive experience in business, governance, and global partnerships. As Chairman and President of MWorldwide Holdings, she champions sustainable development, child protection, women’s empowerment, peacebuilding, and humanitarian initiatives across Asia, Africa, and beyond. She serves as Patron and Vice Chairperson of Mama Dorcas Children’s Home, providing strategic leadership and supporting child welfare, education, and family strengthening programs. Through her roles in international humanitarian and diplomatic organizations, she continues to promote ethical leadership, global collaboration, and sustainable solutions that improve the lives of vulnerable children and communities worldwide.

Rita Kiilu

Secretary

Rita is a dedicated community leader and advocate committed to improving the lives of vulnerable children and strengthening families through compassion and service. As a Board Member of Mama Dorcas Children’s Home, she provides valuable guidance in advancing the organization’s mission of child protection, education, and community development. Passionate about empowering children and promoting sustainable solutions, Rita works collaboratively with the Board to ensure every child has access to a safe, nurturing environment and opportunities to reach their full potential. Her commitment to integrity, teamwork, and community service continues to support the organization’s vision of transforming lives and building brighter futures.

Benjamin Wambua

Board Member

Benjamin Wambua is a humanitarian leader, community development practitioner, and project management professional with over 20 years of experience advancing education, child protection, healthcare, clean water initiatives, and community empowerment. He has held senior leadership roles in nonprofit organizations and currently serves in Administration and Operations at Northlink General Contractors and Suppliers Ltd. while supporting humanitarian initiatives. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management from Kenya Methodist University and is pursuing an MBA in Project Management at Jain University, India. As a Board Member and Trustee, he provides strategic leadership, project management expertise, and partnership development, promoting transparency, collaboration, and sustainable community development.

Mr. Lin Qinghua

Board Member

Mr. Lin Qinghua is an international business leader and economic diplomacy advocate with extensive experience in trade, investment, and cross-cultural collaboration. He is committed to strengthening partnerships between China, Papua New Guinea, Africa, and ASEAN countries through strategic engagement and international cooperation.

He serves as an Advisor to the Embassy of Papua New Guinea in China, Founding President of the Papua New Guinea–China Chamber of Commerce, and Chief Representative for Africa at the ASEAN Hong Kong Economic and Trade Centre. As a Board Member, he brings valuable expertise in global partnerships and sustainable investment to support the organization’s mission.

Eric Otieno Owiti

Board Member

Major Erick Otieno is a peace and security professional with extensive operational experience in conflict resolution and peace support missions. He served 2 years in Somalia and 1 year in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, contributing to regional peace and stability initiatives.
He also served 5 years in Lamu County under Operation Linda Amani Boni, working alongside security agencies and local communities to restore peace, enhance security, and support residents in rebuilding normal livelihoods. As part of peace support programs, he contributed to humanitarian initiatives, including helping children in Somalia gain access to education and promoting safer, more stable communities.
Major Otieno remains committed to advancing peace, community development, and humanitarian service through leadership, integrity, and dedication.

Martha Mbuli

Board Member

Martha serves as a Board Member of Mama Dorcas Children Centre, where she provides strategic leadership in advancing the organization’s mission of protecting vulnerable children and empowering communities. Together with the other Directors, she co-founded the organization with a shared vision of creating lasting opportunities for children and families facing poverty and hardship. She is deeply committed to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals and communities affected by poverty, disasters, and lack of access to opportunities. A passionate advocate for human dignity and social justice, Martha believes in empowering communities to become resilient and self-reliant through sustainable development. She is guided by the conviction that serving others creates meaningful and lasting change for individuals, families, and society as a whole.
