Mama Dorcus Children Centre (MDCC) is a dedicated Children’s Home and Rescue Centre located in Gai, within the Kyuso sub-county of Kitui county, Kenya. Our mission is to provide a safe haven for orphans, abandoned, homeless, and vulnerable children who are often left without any adult supervision and face the risk of ending up on the streets. Founded by Rebecca, who was moved by the plight of these children, MDCC aims to offer security, care, and a brighter future for the most vulnerable members of our society.
Our Mission and Vision
Motto: Building and Changing lives
Mission: To transform the lives of underprivileged children in Kenya for sustainable and community development.
Vision: To be a premier N.G.O in creating a world where every underprivileged child has a decent place to Live.
Our Story
MDCC was born out of Rebecca’s compassion and determination to make a difference in the lives of children who have been abandoned or left without a home. Observing the harsh realities faced by these children, she started by offering help wherever she could, recognizing the urgent need for a dedicated centre to provide proper care and stability. Many of these children had nowhere to go after school and resorted to spending nights in classrooms. This dire situation underscored the necessity for a more structured and supportive environment, which led to the establishment of MDCC.
